All shook up

Obviously you will notice that things are not quite the same around here at the moment. In August I bought a new bigger fab server package and have been fiddling with it ever since off and on. Every month comes along and I desperately try towards the end of the month to shift all my sites and so on over to the new server whose payment falls due on the 1st of every month! And every month I've failed miserably. So notwithstanding that I have so many other things I would like to be doing the opportunity of a few extra days off work was too good a one to miss and so I have finally got round to moving most of the sites and hopefully will be able to turn off the old server soon. But in the meantime I took on board everything people said about the "theme" (design to non-techies) of the previous site and so also want to use this opportunity to change that substantially. So for the moment I've chosen a Drupal bundled theme I am reasonably happy with for you to enjoy, or not, until I get my own theme redesigned, hopefully over the next few days. You'll also notice that my URL is now being redirected to "jockcoats.me" - something else I bought a few months ago and have been meaning to switch to. This seemed like the ideal opportunity. I will hopefully be back to some more real blogging soon.

That's much better. It loads in an instant. The colour scheme is rather unpleasant and I think three columns is one too many but I am sure that is easily fixed.

Thanks Mark, but there's a fair way to go.  I've jumped a whole big version number in the software (Drupal) I use and this is really just a holding site I think while I re-import everything into a new version.  Rest assured I will keep the graphics to a minimum though on the new site.

For now though, I'm going to turn comments off as I'm starting to get comment spam and can't be bothered to secure it against that while I work on the other one!  Back in a few days properly though I hope.
