The ASBO Ball
Sod it! Call me a curmudgeonly old c**t if you like...
I nodded off quite early tonight. Then, just after midnight was awoken by loud music somewhere. Strange, I thought, all our students have gone and it's been peaceful for several weeks, so I went outside to have a listen and found it must be a college ball. Sure enough, after a little searching, I found this:
Come to LMH's Ball, the theme of which this year celebrates the best of British! That's not just the 'same-old' aristocratic Wilde&Waugh take on things...
Yes, we all love Brideshead, but we shall revisit so much more: everything from Medieval chivalry, through Shakespeare thesping and the days of the Virgin Queen, saying Cooeee to Georgian and Victorian pomp, via the Fun-times Forties, Swinging Sixties, Punky Seventies, and Day-Glo Eighties, all the way up to modern day ASBO Britain.
Yes, give them all an ASBO. Why do they have to start their outdoor music at midnight?
